The woman I was is dying.
It’s time to meet the woman I’m becoming.
The Sacred Pause is an intimate three-day immersion for women who know that something in their lives is ready to change—even if they cannot yet name exactly what it is.
Through unconscious pattern work, movement, nature, ritual and deeply embodied practices, you will step away from the noise of ordinary life and listen for what is true beneath it.
This is not simply a weekend of rest and reflection.
It is a deliberate crossing from the woman you have been into the woman you are becoming.
The relationship you keep repeating.
The decision you continually postpone.
The role you automatically play.
The fear that appears whenever you move toward something new. The version of yourself you have outgrown—but continue to carry.
For three days, you will become the detective of your own life. You will begin to recognize the unconscious patterns that have shaped your choices, relationships and identity. But insight alone is not enough.
Through hypnosis, dream work, NLP, movement, guided visualization, nature, ritual, breath, dance and embodied practices, you will have the opportunity to experience a new way of being—not only understand it intellectually.
Because transformation does not happen through the mind alone. It happens when the mind, body, imagination and soul begin moving in the same direction.
Throughout this three-day immersion, Julia and Renia will weave unconscious exploration, dream work, movement, nature and ritual into a deeply personal journey of discovery, connection and embodied transformation.
You will be invited to recognize the patterns that brought you here, listen for what is ready to emerge and begin living your next chapter from the inside out.
Guide of Embodied Transformation, Ecstatic Movement & Dreamwork
For more than 30 years, Julia has guided people into a deeper relationship with the body, movement, dreams and soul.
She is the founder and visionary of Ecstatic Dance Toronto—one of Toronto’s longest-running communities devoted to conscious, free-form dance. Over the past 20 years, Julia has created and guided more than 1,050 gatherings, offering a space where people can move beyond performance, listen to the intelligence of the body and experience the transformative power of dancing in community.
For Julia, dance is far more than movement. It is a form of embodied inquiry, communal ritual and remembering—a way of meeting what words cannot always reach and returning to the aliveness beneath the demands of everyday life.
Dreamwork forms an equally important foundation of her practice. Drawing deeply from the work of Dr. Christopher Sowton, Julia approaches dreams as living experiences rather than symbols to be interpreted from a distance. Through dream re-entry and revision, she helps people return to the landscapes, emotions and unfinished movements of their dreams—discovering what the dream may be asking of them and what new possibilities are waiting to emerge.
Her approach brings dreamwork into the body through guided visualization, meditation, drumming, art, movement, dance, psychodrama, partner practice and group resourcing. In this way, the dream is not simply understood intellectually; it can be felt, explored and integrated into waking life.
Julia’s work is also informed by more than three decades of yoga and movement practice, craniosacral therapy, shamanic medicine training and ceremonial wilderness rites of passage.
At the heart of her work is a devotion to restoring dance and dreams to their meaningful place within our culture—not simply as entertainment or interpretation, but as practices of transformation, connection and collective remembering.
Her deepest purpose is to help people listen to the wisdom of the body, receive the guidance of their dreams and embody more fully the life their soul is asking them to live.

At the Sacred Pause Immersion, you will spend your time in a cozy turn of the century farmhouse with 6 country bedrooms, large comfortable living areas, a lazy back porch and lots of land.
Transformation does not happen through the mind alone. It happens when the mind, body, imagination and soul begin moving in the same direction.
Whether your needs are to
The grounds are an invitation into naturalness. Grassy meadows are surrounded by flowing water and the simple quiet of country life….giving you the ease to just be and fall into the natural rhythms of land, living, rest & reflection.
There is a difference between understanding your life… and experiencing yourself differently.
Many women spend years trying to think their way into change. They read the books, listen to the podcasts, attend the workshops and understand exactly why they do what they do. Yet, the same patterns quietly return and persist.
Perhaps you’re standing at a threshold.
Not because everything has fallen apart… but because something within you knows it is time.
Perhaps you’ve been feeling it for months. Not because everything has fallen apart, but because something within you knows it is time. Perhaps you’ve been feeling it for months or even years. You quietly sense that the life you’ve been living no longer fits the woman you are becoming.
These are not signs that something is wrong. They are invitations.
For thousands of years, cultures around the world honoured these moments with rites of passage – these times to step away from ordinary life, reflect deeply and return with renewed purpose.
The Sacred Pause was created to honour that tradition in a modern way.
There is something profoundly healing about being surrounded by women who are asking many of the same questions you are.
Women who are letting go of old roles.
Women who are choosing growth over comfort.
Women who are ready to stop surviving and start living more fully.
For three days, a group of women up to ten women become a circle. Not to compare. Not to compete. Not to fix one another. But to witness, encourage and step into what is possible.
You’ll leave with…
• A deeper understanding of the unconscious patterns that have been shaping your life.
• Practical tools to continue creating change through self-hypnosis, breath, movement, dreams and conscious awareness.
• A renewed relationship with your body, intuition and inner wisdom.
• Clarity about the woman you are becoming—and the next steps you’re ready to take.
• The confidence that comes from knowing you can trust yourself again.
• Meaningful connections with a circle of women who have witnessed and supported your journey.
• A remembrance of ‘The Sacred Pause’ as the moment your next chapter began.
Throughout this immersion, Julia and Renia will gently guide and support the experience, creating a space where you are encouraged, but never pressured to participate in a way that feels right for you.
Every practice is an invitation. Every emotion is welcome. Every woman is honoured exactly where she is.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll experience:
✓ A small, intimate circle of up to 10 women
✓ Guidance from two experienced facilitators
✓ Time for rest, reflection and integration
✓ A confidential, supportive and judgment-free environment
✓ Nourishing meals, nature and space to simply be
✓ Fresh air, starry skies, beautiful natural forest and gardens
Every investigation begins with curiosity. As you arrive, you’ll leave the noise of everyday life behind and begin creating space to slow down, reconnect with yourself and settle into the rhythm of nature.
Together, we’ll begin identifying the patterns, beliefs and roles that have quietly shaped your life.
Not to judge them. Simply to notice them. Because every pattern leaves clues.
This is where the deeper work begins. Through hypnosis, NLP, dreams, movement, ritual, breath and embodied exploration, you’ll uncover the unconscious patterns that have been influencing your thoughts, relationships and choices.
You’ll discover not only what the pattern is, but why it was created, how it once served you,
and whether it still belongs in the life you’re creating today.
Awareness is where transformation begins.
Once the pattern has been understood, it no longer has to unconsciously lead your life.
Through reflection, integration and ritual, you’ll consciously release what no longer serves you and step into your next chapter with greater clarity, courage and self-trust.
You’ll leave not simply with insight, but with a lived experience of what it feels like to move through life differently.
Some experiences are forgotten within weeks.
Others quietly become the moments that shape the rest of your life.
We hope The Sacred Pause becomes one of those moments.

There comes a moment when continuing to live the way
you always have becomes more uncomfortable than
choosing something new.
Perhaps this is that moment.
If something inside you has been whispering that there is
another way…
